Former Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney was reportedly being protected by as many a massive number of police officers during a two-day stay in Colombia.
While in Bogota, which has one of the highest crime rates in the world, for his “On the Run” tour, McCartney was reportedly being secured by 1,400 officers from the moment he arrived. Walkways and street corners within a five block radius of El Campin Stadium, where he was performing, were closely monitored.
McCartney is currently touring Latin America and is scheduled to return to the United Kingdom in June when he will headline the concert for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
McCartney recently made a surprise appearance on the live episode of NBC’s “30 Rock”
