About the Crime:
Alert #610-12-042 April 17, 2012
This alert gives notice to citizens residing on in the 008th District (Chicago Lawn) that an increase in robbery related incidents have occurred during the month of March and April. Victims are approached and asked if they know someone named Maria (in one case the name Jennifer was used), and then their property taken by physical force. Incident times and locations are listed below:
5400 Block of S. Spaulding Ave. on March 24, 2012 at approx. 6:00 PM. 5800 Block of S. Homan Ave. on April 2, 2012 at approx. 8:05 PM. 5200 Block of S. Pulaski Rd. on April 4, 2012 at approx. 3:20 PM. 6500 Block of S. Pulaski Rd. on April 14, 2012 at approx. 3:30 PM.
About the Offenders:
#1) Female/White Hispanic 17-20 Years of age, 5’3”-5’8”, 115-130 lbs., Brown eyes, Brown or Black hair
#2) Male/White Hispanic 17-28 Years of age, 5’7”-6’0”, 150-180 lbs., Hazel eyes, Short black hair
These offenders have acted alone and together.
What you can do:
• Always be aware of your surroundings • Report suspicious activity immediately
• If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc…)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible

6300 Block of S. Kildare Ave. on April 7, 2012 at approx. 3:00 PM. 6300 Block of S. Kildare Ave. on April 14, 2012 at approx. 12:20 PM.
About the Offenders:
#1) Male/White Hispanic 20-22 years of age, 5’6”, 130 lbs., Brown eyes, Black hair
#2) Male/White Hispanic 20-28 years of age, 6’0” 200-220 lbs. Brown eyes, Black hair – This offender possibly has a tattoo on his neck.

• Always be aware of your surroundings • Report suspicious activity immediately
