A registered sex offender was arrested Monday after employees at a Bay Area Starbucks in California noticed he was watching child pornography.
Most know that looking at child pornography is not just wrong, it’s illegal, so looking at it on your computer in the middle of a Starbucks likely isn’t something that ever crosses your mind.
However, 49-year-old Luis Mendoza did not follow that same train of thought and took out his computer and began looking at child pornography in full view of both Starbucks employees and patrons.
After spotting the illegal images, an employee called the police to their downtown Sacramento coffee shop.
When officers arrived, the man was reportedly no longer viewing the questionable material. He was, however, still arrested and his computer seized.
Mendoza was arrested on suspicion of violating his parole.
