Chicago Police recovered blocks of Cannabis with a street value of more than six million dollars during a narcotics investigation that led them to a Southwest Side home.
Narcotics Division and Ogden District (10th) Tactical team officers began conducting surveillance after developing information of narcotics trafficking associated with a home in the 5800 block of S. Spaulding Av.
The investigation led officers to the West Lawn residence shortly after 1 a.m. where officers located several bundles of cannabis stacked throughout the home along with more than $5,000 in cash, a digital scale, and an automated money counting machine.
A vehicle was also recovered near the residence.
Officers have developed several leads as they proceed with this continuing investigation.
