In an unusual event, an apparent tornado was reported touching the ground near Nuevo Laredo-Monterrey highway on Thursday morning said reports.

Two young women who witnessed the phenomenon were able to video tape the event while driving only miles away from the funnel.

According to experts, these tornadoes can have wind power that can reach up to 250 mph, which is close to the rate of a Category 5 hurricane.

At the end of the video a trailer was overturned and thrown into the middle of the highway blocking both sides of traffic.
