Bianca Garcia, 21, was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated DUI resulting in death, DUI and reckless driving, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and not having a driver’s license or car insurance.

On Saturday at about 2:30 a.m., Garcia was driving a Jeep Liberty on the 1100 block of North LaSalle Street when she hit a man in the crosswalk.

Garcia then drove away, leaving 32-year-old Jesse Bradley to die in the street. Though Bradley was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, he died as a result of his injuries.

Shortly after fleeing the scene of the crime, Garcia was stopped by police a few blocks away. She and the passenger in the SUV were also taken to the hospital and were said to be in “stable” condition though it is unclear what sort of injury either sustained.
