Police say a daycare owner in Waterbury, Connecticut was trying to hide a baby from an inspector because she was overcapacity.

For four hours, the 6-month-old baby was locked in a crawlspace because Catalina Reyes was afraid she would get in trouble for having too many children in her Yates Avenue home out of which she was running the daycare center.

The Department of Public Health inspector heard the baby crying and opened the crawlspace. Though the baby had no food, water, or supervision for fours hours, it was thankfully unharmed.

The 54-year-old childcare worker was arrested and charged with risk of injury to a minor. She was released after posting $5,000 bond.
