Grenade attack in Monterrey, Mexico leaves 2 dead

On Friday gunmen attacked a local bar with a grenade near the area west of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, leaving two people dead according to recent reports from the police and the press.

That attack was said to have occurred at 7:30 p.m. at the bar named ‘Woman”, which is located on Lincoln Avenue near the intersection with Calle Rangel. Two people died and one was wounded at the site of the attack after a grenade was thrown into the entertainment center of the bar.

State Public safety as well as ministerial and military agents set up a operation to further investigate the violent incident. A number of the cities staff also supported by diverting the traffic on Lincoln Avenue away from the site.

Soon after, staff from the Monterrey Green cross arrived and moved the injured victim to the hospital in town, and there has yet to be news on his condition. The dead persons were said to be a waiter of the bar and a customer. The incident might have been linked to the growing narco violence in Monterrey, but there is no news update of supposed suspects
