Eric García’s book, ‘Finishing School for Boys’ is now coming to TV after MTV ordered the pilot. 

García, the writer of the book and series is also co-producer with actress Krysten Ritter.  This is the first television project she has sold as a producer. 

The book and soon to be series centers on the main character, Cassie French.  She seems to have it all at just 22 years old.  As an overachiever, she’s working as a lawyer for a big Hollywood studio, her dream job.  Yet she can’t seem to find a boyfriend.  After a disastrous date, Cassie decides to lock the guy in her basement so she can teach him how to be a gentleman. 

García is also well known for his novel, “Matchstick Men” and the 2010 film “Repo Man”. 

He is currently writing “Wheel of Time” for Universal as well as the “Prize of Peril” for Sony.
