In two separate incidents, a male black displaying a badge and purporting to be a police officer has stopped victims, conducted field interviews and subsequently searched them. 

In each instance, the offender asked to see the victim’s identification, then removed money from the victim’s wallet and fled the scene. Offender is believed to be driving a green auto possibly a Mazda.  The first incident occurred on July 1, 2011 in the 3100 block of W. 26th street at approximately 4:30 p.m.  The victim was a 24 year old male Hispanic.  The second incident took place on July 7, 2011 in the 2600 block of S. Spaulding at approximately 6:20 p.m., and involved a 22 year old male Hispanic victim.
     
The offender is described as a male black between 28-45 years old, about 5’09”-5’11” and weighing about 160-190lbs. offender has short black hair and a medium brown complexion.
