About the Crime:

Offenders, sometimes wearing black ski masks, are entering small retail businesses in the 008th (Chicago Lawn) and 009th (Deering) Districts.  One offender will brandish an aluminum baseball bat and demand money, while the second stands guard by the door. 

The incidents related to this pattern occurred on the following dates, times and location:

February 12, 2012, 7:39 p.m. in the 5200 block of South California
February 12, 2012, 9:05 p.m. in the 4100 West block West 47th Street
February 12, 2012, 6:25 p.m. in the 3300 block of South Leavitt Street

About the Offenders:

Offender 1 is a male-white-Hispanic 16-20 years of age, 5’6”-5’7”, 130-185 lbs.
Offender 2 is male-white-Hispanic 16-20 years of age, 5’6”-5’10”, 130-165 lbs.
