Starting in September Netflix will offer its Latin American clients telenovelas from the King’s of telenovela production: Televisa and Azteca.

The deal calls for the Mexican owned, Spanish-language networks to offer 3000 hours or approximately 125 days of annual programming to Netflix customers.  In turn the Netflix customer can opt to hear their fave novella in either Spanish, Portuguese or English.

Earlier in the month the on-demand internet streaming company announced its expansion into Spain and Latin America.  Televisa and Azteca are the first content partners in Latin America for Netflix.

Televisa who owns the largest collection of telenovelas will allow Netflix to stream its videos a year after they air on Spanish-language stations and will not allow them to be streamed in the U.S.
