Mexican authorities found the bodies of three people, all with their throats slashed and bearing signs of torture, on a road near the northwestern town of San Ignacio, officials said.
All of the victims, including a 67-year-old woman, had been strangled and the three bodies had been dumped outside the school administration office for the town, located in Sinaloa state, a municipal police spokesperson said Friday.
Mexican army soldiers and state and municipal police cordoned off the area where the bodies were found to allow forensic experts and detectives to work the scene of the triple homicide.
