While pretty much everyone will agree that young people need parental support, the encouragement given by one Florida mother is not exactly what we had in mind.
Sandra Padilla Miranda of Orlando was arrested after a video showed her daughter and another girl viciously fighting. On the video, Miranda can be heard shouting, “Hit harder” and “bite her.”
The 38-year-old mother was arrested last week after one of the girls posted the video on Facebook.
Miranda told police that the two girls, ages 14 and 17, had gotten into fights before and she was just trying to put an end to it all by encouraging them to fight and get it over with.
She later apologized, telling police she realized it was wrong.
She was released after posting $1100 bond. She has been charged with child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The girl fight took place January 18, outside an Orlando apartment complex.
