The Playboy model accusing boxing Olympian Oscar De La Hoya of assaulting her is asking for an apology and $5 million.
Angelica Marie Cecora and her attorney spoke to reporters outside a Manhattan courthouse Wednesday, and state that because De La Hoya “took advantage” of her in “every way possible,” he should have to apologize to her.
Cecora has stated that when she first met the retired boxer he came across as a “genuine person” but that things quickly changed and “got out of control.”
Since taking De La Hoya to court, the 25-year-old model has described the alleged assault in detail, painting the picture of a drug-fueled night of bizarre and perhaps frightening sexual mischief.
At the press conference, Cecora’s lawyer also accused De La Hoya of attempting to cover up the incident.
The boxer, who turns 39 next week, is being sued for assault, battery, false imprisonment, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Cecora claims that as a result of the incident she has been unable to get a modeling gig.
