In an exclusive one-on-one interview with the Spanish-language Telemundo network, Newt Gingrich talked about immigration policies and discussed who he would consider as potential Vice Presidents.
In the interview that aired Monday and today during the news segment, the Republican presidential candidate mentioned Senator Marco Rubio of Florida who is Cuban-American and Governor Susana Martinez of New Mexico who is Mexican-American.
“Well, I haven’t started a list yet, that would be presumptuous. I have to win the nomination… But if I start a list Marco Rubio’s name would be on it,” said Gingrich. “There are a number of very smart people… Susana Martinez, the Governor of New Mexico, very intriguing, very accomplished,” the Republican presidential candidate added
