Venezuelan shortstop, Marco Scutaro has been traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Colorado Rockies for pitcher Clayton Mortensen.
The Rockies will now shoulder Scutaro’s $6 million salary and get his skills as shortstop and second base man. The 36-year-old had one of his best seasons last year with a hitting record of .299, 7 home runs and 54 RBIs.
Scutaro was born in San Felipe, Venezuela and in his professional career has played for the New York Mets, Oakland As, Toronto Blue Jays and most recently for Boston.
