The charred bodies of two decapitated people were found before dawn Wednesday in a vehicle abandoned in an affluent section of the Mexican capital, authorities said.
It was shortly after 5:00 a.m. that firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle in flames at an entrance to a mall in the borough of Cuajimalpa, the district attorney’s office said.
The firefighters spotted the headless bodies inside the SUV and police later found the severed heads of a man and woman near the vehicle.
Accompanying the bodies was a message of the kind often found at scenes of gangland killings.
