Colombia’s beautiful Coffee Region, or properly deemed the Café Triangle, was initially nominated to become a UNESCO World Heritage site in
January 2010. Colombia is excited to announce that on June 25th, 2011, the region was officially inaugurated into UNESCO’s prestigious list of World Heritage sites.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Landscape for its centennial tradition of coffee growing producing the best coffee in the world, the aroma and culture of this particular region in Colombia is a popular tourist destination. The site serves as an exceptional example of a sustainable and productive cultural landscape that is unique and representative of a tradition that is a strong symbol for coffee growing areas worldwide.
