Authorities in the western Mexican state of Sinaloa found the bodies of two young men, one of them identified as the nephew of drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” (Shorty) Guzman, the country’s most-wanted fugitive.
The victims - identified as Juan Guzman Rocha, nephew of “El Chapo,” and Jose Miguel Bastidas Manjarrez - were found gagged and with several gunshot wounds on a rural road near the small town of Aguaruto, spokespersons for the Sinaloa Public Safety Secretariat told Efe Friday.
Authorities at the scene, including agents from the state Attorney General’s Office, concluded the men were likely killed elsewhere after they found no spent shell casings near the bodies.
