Spanish-language network Univision recently aired a report stated that Iranian and Venezuelan were looking to hire Mexican hackers to infiltrate and number of U.S. government websites.

The documentary stated that the alleged cyberattack would involve the White House, FBI, Pentagon, and U.S. sites.

President Hugo Chavez of Venezula called Univision’s report “lies,” though Iranian officials said Chavez was presented with the hacking plot, but turned it down.

Univision stated that recordings of diplomats as they discussed with the hackers were capable of doing, confirm that the plot was indeed a real threat.

Government officials in the U.S. stated that they had no knowledge of the cyberattack plot, but called it “very disturbing.”
