In June, a group of more than 250 women in Barbacoas, Colombia went on what they called the “Crossed Legs Strike,” and refused to have sex with their partners until the government agreed to pave Barabacoas only access road. The women succeeded and just a few months later, another group, this time in the Philippines, did the same thing in order to stop the fighting between local villages. Now, a new hit musical on Broadway is taking a cue from that book.

The musical has been called a mix between High School Musical and Mean Girls and touches on current events with topics like Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain and the new iPhone Siri program.
