Sofia Vergara and the cast of the hit ABC comedy Modern Family topped the TV list with five nominations for the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.
Vergara, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, and Julie Bowen received nods from the guild Wednesday morning and Modern Family itself was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, which the cast won last year, and includes pint-size actor Rico Rodriguez.
The show is currently in its third season, and was the first ABC series to win the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series since the Wonder Years 22 years before.
On the show, Colombian-born Vergara plays Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, second wife to Ed O’Neill’s character, and mother of the wiser-than-his-years Manny Delgado.
