After being shot numerous times, a U.S. citizen in Mexico drove himself over the border attempting to get away from the men he initially thought were trying to rob him.
At around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday morning, a young man drove a badly damaged pickup truck into the U.S. from Mexico
The 22-year-old was transported from the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center in Eagle Pass, Texas near the U.S.-Mexico border to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he was treated for gunshot wounds to the chest and arm.
His name was not released because police say there is a good possibility that those who shot and chased him will go looking for his family back in Mexico and kill them.
What they did release was his age and where he was living, Piedras Negras.
