Back in 2008 when 18 year old Barron Hilton, little bro of Paris Hilton, hit Fernando Mendoza Tellez at a Malibu gas station no one thought Tellez would become a millionaire.
Well thanks to the Los Angeles County Superior Court he is and in great part due to the injuries suffered at the hand of Hilton’s irresponsible drinking.
Hilton was arrested after that incident for DUI and for registering a .14 blood content. Prior to hitting Tellez, who worked at the station, Hilton had been driving down the scenic Pacific Coast highway on the wrong side of the road – luckily no one was injured.
Tellez who is claiming he is permanently disabled was awarded the $4.9 million for his pain, suffering, his medical expenses and for loss income.
