A woman in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood has been handed her sentence for forcing young women into prostitution.

After pleading guilty, Rubicela Montera, 40, was given 8 years in prison for running a brothel on Chicago’s Southwest Side.

Montero is a married mother who was living the United States illegally, who told men it would cost more to have sex with the 16-year-old girl she forced to work for her.

She was finally caught when one of the young girls called the National Human Trafficking Resource Center, and an undercover police officer went to the home pretending to be a “customer”. She was running the brothel out of a home near 31st Street and Millard Avenue.
