New data compiled by the Department of Justice and Department of Education show that Hispanic teens are the least bullied minority teens at a rate of 34.3 percent while Asian Americans the most bullied.

The government research shows that 54 percent of Asian American teens are reporting some type of bullying in school while 38.4 percent of African Americans are reporting bullying.  Hispanic teens and white teens have lower instances of reporting bullying at 34.3 percent and 31.3 percent, respectively.

Asian Americans also reported higher instances of cyber-bulling than any other race or ethnicity.  Some 62 percent of all Asian American teens are reporting online harassment.  The study did not delve into causes for such high rates of bullying for Asian Americans.

Nonetheless, government officials lay blamed on an overall increase in racial abuse especially for children perceived to be Muslim.
