Mexican authorities have arrested a number of people at an auto shop in the state of Sinaloa, known to bulletproof vehicles used by drug cartels.

The Sunday operation resulted in 10 arrests, 10 cars that were being worked on, and another six reinforced vehicles were in a nearby warehouse.

Sinaloa is the home state of the powerful and very dangerous Sinaloa Cartel, as well as the fugitive cartel leader Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, who escape custody in 2001.

Similar conversion shops along the U.S.-Mexico border have been raided. The army discovered a fleet of large cargo trucks in Tamaulipas that had been completely encased in steel armor.
