“Proteje a tus hijos de caidas tragicas por la ventana!”
Guardian Angel Window Guards Launches Bilingual Campaign for Hispanic Market
With more than 5,000 U.S. children and teens injured each year in falls from windows in the United States, Guardian Angel Window Guards is expanding its message of prevention to reach more families. This month marks launch of a new bilingual campaign geared to the Spanish-speaking market.
“We recently launched redesign of our product packaging and brochures to include messaging and instructions in Spanish,” said Jane Robichaud of Automatic Specialties, Inc, manufacturer of the patented ASTM-certified Guardian Angel Window Guard. “This is a critical safety issue of universal concern.”
In addition to the new packaging, the company has introduced a transit campaign in and around Worcester, Massachusetts as a test market to build awareness for the child safety risk. Headlines on the transit ads read, “Proteje a tus hijos de caidas tragicas por la ventana!” which means “Protect your children from tragic window falls!”
Spanish speaking customer service representatives are available to assistance and product support for Guardian Angel Window Guards are available by calling 800-445-2370, ext 18.
Child-proofing the home most often involves baby gates at stairwells, locking cabinets, and covering electrical outlets. However, securing windows to prevent falls is chronically overlooked. Window screens are not enough. Children can now be protected by installing ASTM-certified window guards designed to be removed quickly in case of fire or emergency.
Guardian Angel Window Guards are designed with less than 4 inches of space between bars to prevent small children from crawling through. End posts attach to window frames with screws so the guard is installed securely. Release buttons are secure from curious little fingers but allow for quick removal by adults in case of emergency. The patented design enables fire fighters to easily remove the guard from the outside in the event of fire.
Constructed of durable steel that can withstand the weight of a child, Guardian Angel Window Guards are easily installed with a screwdriver or drill and feature sliding bars which fit windows of various widths and heights. Multiple guards can be stacked or installed next to each other to cover extra wide or extra high openings. The guards are available in a sleek glossy white finish that does not interfere with décor.
