The was a grim discovery in the city of Monterrey as a group of unknown criminals arrived at the colony and dropped off the dismembered remains of two women who were placed inside several black plastic bags. Members of the Municipal Police, State Police, and the State Agency guarded the area for Investigators and the Mexican Army. Forensic Medical Service personnel took the remains of the butchered women to the University Hospital.
Relatives of the women came to the University to identify them. They were identified as Maria de los Angeles García Cardona, 34, and daughter Angela Ortiz García, 19. Mother and daughter had been missing since last Wednesday. An armed group had kidnapped them then brutally tortured and executed the women.
