Spanish-language Univision led all other U.S. television networks in adult viewership Friday night thanks to the telenovela “Amor Bravio,” according to the latest data from Nielsen.
Four million people tuned in for “Amor Bravo,” which airs at 10:00 EDT and features Silvia Navarro and Cristian de la Fuente in the lead roles.
The network’s new nightly telenovela, “Porque el amor manda,” attracted an average of 3.4 million viewers in its first week on the air, allowing Univision to finish ahead of CBS on Monday and to surpass both ABC and NBC on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The 8:00 p.m. EDT show stars Fernando Colunga and Blanca Soto.
Another Univision soap, “Amores Verdaderos,” featuring Sebastian Rulli and Erika Buenfil, draws an average of 4.2 million viewers in the 9:00 p.m. EDT time slot.
