Michoacán media has disclosed that inhabitants of Felipe Carrillo Puerto ‘The Shawl’, in the municipality of Buenavista Tomatlan, have detained a group of 40 soldiers as a means of pressure to demand the release of 17 members of the ‘community watch’ of the town.
It was reported that about 200 people blocked the way to the vehicle transporting the military and blamed the members of the Ministry of National Defense (Department of Defense)  and accused them of ties to organized crime.

Witnesses said the soldiers were taken to a gas station at the entrance to ‘The Shawl’, while vehicles block the other accesses to the community of Buenavista.
