The early morning fire at 1111 N. Lawler Avenue is likely the result of a domestic dispute Chicago Police are saying. The fire at the three-story flat started at 1:00 a.m. today and torched most of the 2nd and 3rd floors.
A resident of the building informed police that she heard screaming and yelling coming from a unit where she observed a woman arguing with a boyfriend she had recently broken up with.
Most of the building residents will be displaced due to the extensive fire and smoke damage.
