There must be something in the water, because Florida is once again the location of an odd crime involving a man in his 30s, a teenage boy, and Taco Bell burrito.
The Smoking Gun is reporting Erik Brown, 36, is facing battery charges in Port St. Lucie after police believe he got into an altercation with a 16-year-old family member.
According to the teen, he was having an argument with his mother and Brown, his brother-in-law, when Brown asked the mother to “bring him the burrito”. Once he had it, Brown allegedly threw the burrito “with force” at the victim, hitting him in the face. It appeared he had indeed been struck with a burrito, because when police arrived, they found meat, cheese, and sauce all over his face and clothing.
Brown claims he lost his cool with the teen after witnessing him disrespect and curse at his mother.
He was booked in the county jail and is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court for arraignment on March 20.
It should be noted that Brown also warned that, once released, he would “take care” of the teen, adding that the boy was “going to get knocked out.”
