An Iowa man was arrested on Friday after he allegedly robbed a lingerie store earlier this month.
Jose Angel Perales Jr., 24, allegedly broke into Doctor John’s Lingerie Boutique in Davenport on February 17th at around 4 a.m.
Surveillance footage shows Perales grabbing items and heading into the manager’s officer. When he emerged from the office, Perales was naked and his tattooed back was clearly visible. He then tried on clothes for about two hours. After deciding on a red dress and blonde wig he left the store, but his attempt at disguising himself was flawed.
The tattoo seen on the security footage was one of his last name, “Perales,” and helped officers identify him. After he was arrested, officers found garments and items from the shop in his home.
Perales was released from Scott County Jail on bond. He has been charged with third-degree burglary, for which he could see five years behind bars, and third-degree theft, which has a maximum sentence of two years in prison.
