Two female passengers of a commercial shuttle van were arrested Thursday morning at the I-19 checkpoint after Nogales Border Patrol agents discovered six bags of methamphetamine concealed in two buckets of chicken.

The narcotics, weighing nearly six pounds and valued at $58,700, were turned over to the DEA. The subjects face federal prosecution.
