FC Barcelona forward David Villa left the hospital after being treated for kidney stones and is expected to rejoin the team for practice within 24 hours, the club said Tuesday.

Villa, one of six different players to score in Barça’s 6-1 rout of Getafe on Sunday, was admitted to the hospital the following day.

Doctors released the Spanish international shortly after noon on Tuesday.

The Barcelona coaching staff gave their charges two days off after the La Liga triumph and practice is set to resume Wednesday.

Though well enough to practice, Villa is listed as doubtful for Barça’s next La Liga match, set for Saturday in Granada.
