Singer Don Omar, the self-proclaimed “King of Reggaeton,” said his upcoming “Hecho en Puerto Rico” concert would rock the Caribbean island.
Don Omar, whose real name is William Omar Landron, said he planned a big blowout to celebrate his 35th birthday on Sunday.
Concert season will begin with a huge bash in Puerto Rico, where the singer has not performed in more than two years, Don Omar said in a statement.
“We worked hard all through Christmas to prepare for this big concert. I will finally sing at home again and will make my island rock,” Don Omar said.
The concert will take place on May 4 at the Jose M. Agrelot Colisseum in San Juan.
Don Omar, nominated for 18 2013 Billboard Latin Music awards, said the concert would feature his greatest hits, such as “Danza Kuduro,” whose music video has been viewed more than 425 million times on YouTube, and “Hasta Que Salga el Sol,” which won for Best Urban Song at the 2012 Latin Grammy Awards.
