The police chief of Hostotipaquillo was gunned down this morning along with his wife and one of his bodyguards, near the main square of the Municipality.

The police chief was identified as Lucio Rosales Astorga.

The attack occurred about 9:15 am at the head of the village, where they were scattered bushes of various calibers.
