A US citizen, Sandra Valente, 37 who was staying at the Quinto Centenario hotel in Santo Domingo, was shot dead while eating dinner with her Dominican husband Ramon Dario Reyes Figuereo, aged 41, in La Barrica restaurant in the Ozama area in Santo Domingo East on Monday, 14 January.
