Calle 13 frontman Residente has married Argentine model and actress Soledad Fandiño, a source close to the artist confirmed to Efe on Tuesday.

Several media outlets had published the story several days ago, but it was only on Tuesday that a photograph of Rene Perez appeared showing him wearing a wedding ring at the inauguration on Monday of San Juan’s new mayor, Carmen Yulin Cruz.

Perez and Fandiño married 10 days ago in a private ceremony in the El Yunque tropical forest in eastern Puerto Rico, according to a photo published on Twitter.

The pair had become engaged more than a year ago.

The actress also appeared in the Calle 13 music video “La vuelta al mundo,” which was filmed in Buenos Aires and was directed by Oscar-winning Argentine director Juan Jose Campanella.
