Workers on the a California Indian reservation had to dig a tragic number of graves this week after a man killed numerous members of his own family, including his daughters.
Five people are dead after 31-year-old Hector Celaya went on a shooting spree in Tule River Indian Reservation before being shot in a shootout with police.
On Saturday, Celaya killed his 8-year-old daughter, two on his uncles, and his mother. He also shot his 6-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter.
The 6- and 5-year-old, Andrew and Linea Celaya, remained in critical and serious condition at Community Medical Center in Fresno, Calif. on Tuesday.
Fellow reservation residents have said they will hold candlelight vigils for the rest of the week.
The investigation is ongoing and police say they have no motive for the shooting spree.
In the end, shooter Hector Celaya; his mother, Irene Celaya; her brothers Francisco and Bernie Moreno; and 8-year-old Alyssa Celaya were killed.
