Tuesday night’s elimination dealt Team Xtina, Christina Aguilera’s team, a fatal blow.

With just 8 singers remaining, just one of them was from Team Xtina.

Though Monday night, Christina was confident her only remaining performer, Dez Duron, had the ability to win season 3, that confidence was not enough.

By the end of the night, Dez and Team CeeLo’s Cody Belew were sent home.

Christina’s parting words to Dez:

Unique highschooler Melanie Martinez is the only Latina left, and she has proven to be both a fan favorite and a judge favorite (except for Christina, who regularly seems unimpressed).

If the final six tells us anything, it’s that viewers love different, as evident by the very unique qualities of every one of the singers.
