The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a 7.4 magnitude earthquake off the Pacific shore of Guatemala, near Chiapas Mexico.  The quake was reported some twenty minutes ago at 10:35 a.m. 35 miles southwest from Retalhuleu, Guatemala and some 38 miles southeast of Chiapas, Mexico.

This is a developing story with aftershocks being reported by both countries.  Strong tremors have been felt in Guatemala City, San Salvador and Mexico City.
