Federal police captured a top hired gun for the Juarez drug cartel in the central city of Aguascalientes, Mexico’s Public Safety Department said.

Jesus Valentin Nuñez Lugo had been in charge of protecting the cartel’s leaders and battling the outfit’s enemies in Chihuahua, capital of the likenamed northern state, the department said in a statement
