Join the Chicago Public Library in Celebrating Diversity in 2012 with its annual observance of Hispanic Heritage Month. From September 15 through October 15, the Chicago Public Library offers a variety of programs highlighting and honoring the musical culture, traditions and contributions of Hispanic Americans.
Festivities begin at 1:00 p.m. September 15 at Little Village with a concert by student violinists from the Elizabeth Rodriguez Violin Academy. Other program highlights include exhibits by local artists, lectures and discussions, a screening of a selection from PBS’s POV series, storytelling, arts and crafts for kids, and book discussions for adults and teens.
