Ralph Lauren’s new collections showed a clear bit of España flair.

During his New York Fashion Week showing of his Spring 2013 collection, top designer Lauren fitted the models with matador hats with boleros, a common jacket worn by Spanish and Mexican bullfighters. Throughout the show, it was very clear his collection’s inspiration had Spanish/Latin roots.

Though Lauren is known for his “Americana” style, his Spring 2013 collection took quite a different turn. It should be noted that while “Americana” is sort of his market, Lauren is known to find inspiration from places he visits on vacation.

Mixed with black and a bright white pieces, Lauren has created a collection still full of color – namely bright blue and burnt orange. It ranges from full-length skirts, to below-the-knee pieces. From leather pants to leather tops. Form more formal pieces like suits to strapless, night-on-the-town, more flirty dresses.

Check out some on his pieces below.
