Kristy Alcala has been charged with theft after entering a Harlingen, Texas J.C. Penney with her family and proceeded to steal more than $530 worth of boy’s clothes.

The 26-year-old mother was observed in the children’s department while the children caused diversion in another department and acted as lookout for their mother.  When Alcala completed the purchase of two blouses she ran out to the close-by Wal-Mart.

Store security found she had stolen 17 boys shorts, 20 shirts and 7 tee-shirts, all stuffed inside a Dillard’s shopping bag.
