About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 010th District (Ogden) of an increase in robbery related incidents that occurred during the month of June.

Multiple offenders are approaching victims on foot, pushing victims to the ground, bettering them, and forcibly taking wallets and cell phones.

June 1, 2012, 4:25 PM, 2100 Block of South Central Park

June 4, 2012, 2:17 PM, 2100 Block of South Central Park

June 13, 2012, 8:00 PM, 2300 Block of South Pulaski

June 14, 2012, 8:20 PM, 2200 Block of South Central Park

About the Offenders:

Offender descriptions vary, but are generally described as two to five male blacks between the ages of 17- 35.

What you can do:

· Always be aware of your surroundings

· Report suspicious activity immediately

· If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm

· Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc…)

· Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police

· If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information

· Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
