Some 210,000 people turned out for a free concert by Canadian pop star Justin Bieber in the Zocalo, Mexico City’s largest plaza, the emergency management office said.

Bieber was greeted by wild cries from his fans, the majority of them girls between the ages of 12 and 17, from the moment he took the stage just after 9:00 p.m on Monday.

The pop star opened with “Baby,” prompting the audience to sing along, then he followed up with “As Long as You Love” and “U Smile.”
